Word Filled Wednesday

What is your favorite scripture right now?

The kids favorite verse to quote in children's prayer room is...

Phillippians 2:14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings

My goodness how my children and those young un's love to get their leaders and parents on this verse, it happens a lot.....smack,,,,especially if we are running late and come in explaining (complaining) on why we didn't make it on time !

If we aren't putting the scripture in our mind then we can be sure that our enemy will make sure we have plenty of other things going in there and that truth shines light in the darkness of our hearts. I am working ahead of the Bible Study group, I plan on challenging them to memorize the 4 verses in Daniel. I have the 1st- 3 verses but the last one is taking longer to get memorized. It sounds like your Abraham, Isaac, or Jacob when you recite it,

                                           Daniel 2:20-23

20. Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
21. And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:
22. He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.
23. I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter.

Look at verse 22.....He reveals, uncovers, makes known in a good term, the deep and secret things. We all love a secret where we'd admit it openly or not but the Word tells us that God reveals things to us if we seek them. The later part of the verse gives me such comfort because I shared with you about the nighttime or the darkness and how its a harder time for me. I can still remember being in class that night (WGBC) when I first read that verse. I was like yes, God is all seeing, all knowing, and the darkness doesn't bother Him at all. He is the light and all light dwells with Him...I get it??? WiTh, Him. how many times have I heard this taught ???, God is light, walk with Him in the light as He is the light. Fill your mind with the light, allow it to shine down into your heart and then what comes next? The thankfulness and praises. We have skylights in the warehouses where I work and sometimes on a sunny day I just love to go and stand in the beam of sunshine coming down through that opening. With my eyes closed because of the brightness I imagine one day we'll feel the glory of God shining upon us when we are residents in that place we will call home! May each of our days, not just Wednesday be WORD Filled !
