Feathers from the NEST

One of my spiritual children has flown the nest this morning.

Kensley Loudermelk is starting Presbyterian College tomorrow, so she's moving in today.

God Bless her family, they are worn out, but its going to be one of the greatest things that could ever happen! I know she's ready and the Lord is her guide and she's going to be fine......

this feather makes me remember the hair dryer in the living room plugged up for those colic times after she was born...

this feather makes me remember how I heard this name and shared it with her pregnant mom and said you know if its a girl you can spell it like this....K.E.N.S.L.E.Y and you know that's exactly what happened and the middle name is Lynae' and that comes from her moms name Lynette and her sister's middle name Renee......somehow I didn't have a say in the full name part,,,,haha.

this feather reminds me when her mom locked her in the van and the door went shut while checking the mail.....called me at work crying telling me she just locked Kensley in the van and didn't have an extra key,,,,,,matter of fact the keys were in the van and it was running with the AC on of course....NOT funny at the time but what a story, if only that young'un could have gotten out of the car seat !

this feather reminds me the first time she was brought to church and claimed the 8th wonder of the world by the song director....because Kensley had sooo much hair, she looked like a MonChiChi ( a doll at the time)

this feather reminds me of the first time she stayed with me on Sunday afternoon, as a young child Kensley always had so much energy, shew, wore me out, I was too slow for her, couldn't keep up!

this feather reminds me of the first season of softball and how much she loved it!!!! Putting a softball in her hand and on that field was IT for her, she was hooked.

I believe she was 9 or 10 when she decided she wanted to pitch, from that time on, ALOT of hard work has been spent by her and her dad and her pitching coach training and teaching and learning and traveling to get her to this point now in her life!

This feather reminds me of her salvation in God with Preacher Eddie by her side and her mom and dad and church family around her down in the altar and the look on her face when she got up from there,,,,,such relief shown on this little girls face. UnderNeath His Wings was the song sung.

This feather reminds me of how she use to sing in youth choir and she would sing You are my All in All and after professing Christ, our Pastor said now Kensley can really know what she's singing now and who she's singing it to !!!!

Many, Many, Many feathers to remember, prayers together, watchin her grow into a young lady in Christ. Can't wait to see more from our God in her future. I'm so proud of her and she is just one of the many of my spiritual children God has planted deep in my heart! Praying for her and her family has they move her into the dorm today! Bittersweet............
Ecclesiastes 7:8
The end of a matter is better than its beginning,,,,,,,

'Cause it only leads to a new chapter in our story that God has wrote Himself..............

Seek the path God would have you take.....and He will continue to be your guide !

All my love,,,,,,,
